I will dominate 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.

Former two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the novice remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making massive paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really happening.
